We have been fortunate enough for our short film Cubicle Zombies to be selected to screen in three major film festivals so far this year.
The first screening was at the TCL Chinese Theater during the Dances with Films Festival back in early June, the second (which is what I attended a short time ago) was SeriesFest in Denver, and the third screening will be in early August at the 13th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival which will also take place at the TCL Chinese Theater.
Having our work featured in SeriesFest was such an honor, and flying out to Denver to see it play alongside other TV series and pilots also selected to screen was so much fun. The event kicked off at the Red Rock Amphitheater with live performances from artists like Lauryn Hill, Common and En Vogue. I enjoyed reconnecting with Andy Jones, co-creator and co-writer, and Eric Larsen, who voiced most of the characters, at SeriesFest. This has been our labor of love between this group of creatives for over a year and a half now, so it was great to reconnect and celebrate our creation.
Screenings in the Late Night Competition category happened on the second day of the festival, and it was awesome for us as filmmakers for a couple different reasons: seeing how your work is received by other people in the industry is always rewarding, but also to get a sense of what other creators are making to guide the growth and development of TV and web series for the future.
If you have not seen Cubicle Zombies yet, watch it below.

Ultimately SeriesFest was a blast we were stoked be apart of it.
