80% of consumers prefer to find their hotel and make bookings online. So, hotel brands need an impressive website design with easy booking access to attract more guests.
We’ve already covered the elements of a great hotel website design, but what does that look like?
Forge Apollo is a website design company in Philadelphia that serves the tourism industry. In this blog, our website design and development team shares their favorite hotel website designs from across the web (in no particular order) to inspire your brand’s site.
Let’s dive in!
1. Smyth Tribeca

Our Senior WordPress Developer, Rabeah Abbas, looks to the Smyth Tribeca website for inspiration. Abbas likes the modern design, which features rotating images as the header with a prominent and chic booking widget. High-quality imagery featuring the rooms, restaurant, and surrounding areas is key to this website, clearly conveying the hotel’s atmosphere and sense of place. The navigation also clearly guides visitors towards the brand’s two desired actions–booking and signing up for their email list–while offering an expandable menu to dive deeper into their accommodations and location.
2. One&Only Cape Town

Our team loved the One&Only Resorts Cape Town page similarly for its high-quality imagery and simple, modern design. It also features a prominent booking widget and a strong sense of unique, luxury branding in its image coloring and classic fonts. We particularly love the subtle background elements, like the leaves, that help avoid basic color blocking. The thin lines throughout the site also enhance the luxurious feel.

3. ICONA Resorts

This New Jersey Shore resort brand is close to home for Forge Apollo and is one of our favorites. Not only are the resorts physically close to home, but we also designed the ICONA Resorts website. Our Graphic Designer, Michele Kusmanick, loves this design because “it is easy to navigate, has high-quality images, and you get a sense of the hotel’s vibe right away from both the visuals and the copy.”
Our Director of Digital Marketing, Becca Wallace, agrees that “The ICONA website is incredibly user-friendly. All the gorgeous images and videos on the site help users quickly understand what the property looks like. None of the copy contains filler text; it’s all written purposefully to inform guests about the ICONA experience. Lastly, it’s easy to book a room with simplistic navigation and links throughout the text.”
Forge Apollo’s video production team produced high-quality imagery throughout the site to create the ideal design. Our team can handle every element of a great hotel website design, from the text to the images and development.
4. W Hotels

The following website was an attention-grabber for Kusmanick. She loved that the large headings on the W Hotels website, along with the quality imagery, “grab your attention and show off the unique elements and energy at the hotels.” This website also does a fantastic job of showcasing its extensive collection of hotel locations. One section features two rows of hotel locations rotating in opposite directions, which grabs attention and showcases the scale of their properties. And, of course, the “Book Now” button is easily accessible in the navigation bar.

5. Nemacolin

For Wallace, the Nemacolin website excels at creative touches and attention-grabbing visuals. The header video “steals the show with its fun edits and scenes that show your entire experience at the hotel.” When the page loads, there’s an adorable visual of the bird from their icon walking (the website is worth a visit just to see this). Nemacolin leans into the visuals with stunning imagery and video throughout its home page. It’s light on the copy, but the combination of imagery and strategic copy elements makes the page easy to navigate. While it lacks a booking widget, there is an easily accessible “Book Now” button in the navigation bar.
6. Four Seasons

The Four Seasons website is dark and moody, with booking and navigation front and center in its header. Kusmanick observes that the simple and modern design lets the images stand out and take the focus of the visitor. This is another large brand, but it organizes information well in its navigation and page experience so visitors can find what they need.
7. Hotel Lilien

The Hotel Lilien website is one of Wallace’s favorites because its mid-century modern look matches the exact aesthetic of the hotel’s interiors. Establishing your brand’s aesthetic and feeling with a website is the first step in a consistent guest experience and strengthens your marketing strategy. Like the others, this website has an excellent use of imagery and a clean, minimalistic design with a clear “Book Now” button that we love.
8. Artus

Kusmanick loves the Artus website for its interactivity. The header section features a “clock” that users can click through to see where they might spend different times of the day in the hotel. Farther down the page, Artus utilizes a unique design for horizontal sliders that utilizes static design elements while text and images swap out. According to Kusmanick, this design also does an excellent job using textures and rich colors to reflect the high-end feeling of its hotels. Plus, the “Book Now” button is always easy to access in the navigation bar.
