Social Ads for Brand Awareness

The Point is a chain of Tiki bars on the New Jersey Shore that open seasonally during the summer. They offer food, drinks, live music, and events in a tropical atmosphere. As a seasonal business, it’s important to promote their brand during peak months. Forge Apollo runs multiple ad campaigns for The Point each summer, targeting brand awareness and traffic to the website, which features its locations’ info, menus, and event schedules. After our first summer of running ads, our team used performance data and new business goals to adjust the campaigns.

Our Strategy

Website Redesign

We re-designed The Point’s website to better represent their brand and make it easer for users to find what they need. It clearly outlines the brand’s different locations, hours, and links to their menus. Each location also has an interactive event schedule on its landing page so users can easily see what live entertainment or other events are taking place. Strategic copy and bold headings combine with vibrant visuals to make the brand’s selling points clear throughout the site.

Still Imagery & Video Shoots

The imagery in this campaign needs to capture The Point’s energy, events, and offerings. To capture this content, we completed multiple still imagery and video shoots, which allowed us to create custom videos and graphics.

Graphic Design

Using a combination of existing photos and new assets from our shoots, we created engaging graphics for still image and carousel ads. We created assets in multiple asset ratios to take advantage of multiple ad placements across Meta’s platforms.

Campaign Structure

We structured our campaigns to promote general awareness and website traffic. Both sets of ads focused on reaching local audiences and those farther out that frequently visit the shore throughout the summer. Ads promote the general brand as well as events and menus. In 2024, the brand launched a new location, so our campaign structure skewed more towards awareness.

The Results

Over two summers of running the campaign, we achieved the following results. We continue to use each summer’s performance to tailor the next year’s campaign.

8+ Million Impressions

The campaign received over 3 million impressions in the summer of 2023 and over 5 million in 2024.

63.55% Increase in Impressions

Between 2023 and 2024, we adjusted the allocation of our budget and our optimizations to achieve a 63.55% increase in impressions.

Over 90,000 Visits to the Website

While website traffic isn’t a large focus of the campaigns, we still want to encourage some people to visit the website for information on hours, menus, and the event schedule. 

High CTR

The ads targeting traffic earned a CTR of 7.71% in 2023 and 8.21% in 2024.
