PHILADELPHIA, PA–Forge Apollo is excited to announce that its website design for ICONA Resorts is a Webby Honoree. The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) honored Forge Apollo in the “Websites and Mobile Sites – Travel & Lifestyle” category of the 29th Annual Webby Awards.
IADAS established The Webby Awards in 1996 to honor “excellence on the Internet.” The awards consider eight major media types, including Websites and Mobile Sites. Only the top 25% of the 29th Annual Webby Award entries became Webby Honorees, and only 12% became Nominees. The Forge Apollo team is honored and humbled to be a Webby Honoree.
Forge Apollo redesigned the ICONA Resorts website as part of a larger partnership with the brand. Becca Wallace, Director of Digital Marketing at Forge Apollo, says, “Our primary goal for ICONA’s website redesign was to create a modern, visually immersive experience that captivates visitors the moment they arrive.”
The project included custom imagery shot by Forge Apollo’s production team, which Wallace states “aimed to transport guests into vacation mode instantly once they landed on the website.” The website design and development team paired the visuals with custom design to “highlight ICONA’s luxurious rooms and amenities, ensuring guests know exactly what to expect for their stay.” A custom-coded booking widget and buttons throughout the site create an effortless booking experience.
The ICONA Resorts’ design is in good company as an Honoree. Fellow Honorees include designs for major brands, like YETI, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™, and National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions.
This recognition is a significant honor for the Forge Apollo team. Wallace says, “This was the first award we submitted for and won for the Forge Apollo digital marketing team, which is a huge honor.
